My story…When I first built a website, I used Microsoft FrontPage and it was pretty easy to use, but I had so many unanswered questions. I thought that the software would lead me through developing a website, but really, that is not the job of software developer. I decided to purchase a website template instead of designing one because it was so confusing. Building forms, inserting graphics, integrating ecommerce solutions, developing an opt-in list, sending newsletters… I was at a loss on all of this and I had no guidance whatsoever. Through courses, a lot of networking, many add-on expenses and getting a professional website designer to pick up the things that were way confusing for me, I finally managed to open the website.
If I would have known then what I know now…I would have saved so much money and my website wouldn’t have failed. I was so stressed out and I was pondering go back to a job in the field of management and give my dreams of working from home as an internet entrepreneur, or investing big time by getting a business loan to get a website “professionally developed”.
