A lot of people say that they want improve conversion rates when they actually mean that they want to improve web traffic. Sometimes, they just say that they want to improve sales. At any rate, it is good to know the difference in these terms before getting into methods to improve them.

Your conversion rate is actually your report card for internet marketing. It is a percentage that comes from dividing the number of visitors by the number of desired outcomes. The most desired outcome is usually sales, but it may be sign-ups as well.

If you have loads of people visiting your site, but you are not making an adequate amount of sales, you have a problem. You need to improve conversion rates.

  7. You have not developed credibility through your content.
  8. Your text is flat boring.
  9. Your content doesn't conquer objections.

  10. Your content doesn't ask for the sale.

  11. Your content doesn't convey value.

Quite a list, isn't it? Don't be imitated, just consider all of these things when trying to figure out what you can do to improve conversion rates.
